Who says geology is boring for kids?

The A. E. Seaman Mineral Museum is Michigan’s official mineral museum.  Not long ago, our grandkids spent a couple of hours touring, learning, “oohing & aahing” at the mineral specimens collected during Michigan’s copper boom days.

For those who have studied about the mining history along the copper belt that extends from Keweenaw county to Ontonagon county, every display case is a graphic reality check.

Don’t miss this educational experience with your family on your next trip to the U.P.
