We opened up a future based on lower cost, nearly maintenance free solar thermal power using turbogenerators along rights of way – producing truly clean electricity & heating, plus hydrogen for the nation’s sustainable fuel supply.
Energy Secretary Chu was fixated on “clean” coal. The nation drifted into stagnation, with a little “clean” natural gas thrown in.
The USA could have had a V8. Instead they followed blind leaders and are stuck with oxygen depletion & chronic health problems linked to fossil fuel combustion.
Meanwhile, the biggest energy source in the universe is shining on Earth Day.
